REX HILL was founded by in 1982 by Paul Hart and Jan Jacobsen.  One of the earliest wineries to bottle single-vineyard pinot noir in Oregon.  Today the winery is owned by another family company, A to Z Wineworks. 
Winemakers Sam Tannahil, Cheryl Francis and Michael Davies produce REX HILL wines from 100% Willamette Valley grapes grown sustainably.  They hand pick, hand sort, and hand craft the wines using small fermenters and small French oak barrels and draw on years of experience gained in the Willamette Valley, as well as experience gained in other premier growing regions around the world.

These wines have a tremendous aging capacity along with great depth and elegance, excellent fruit purity and fine balance. The Pinot Noirs show distinct terroir characters, demonstrating particular soil and climactic conditions in the vineyard, through a single vineyard range, and multi-layered compexity at reserve level.  REX HILL specialises in small-production, craft-style wines.  Hand picked, hand sorted, family owned since 1982.
