Beaux Freres
AVA - Ribbon Ridge, Oregon
Since their first vintage in 1991, the Beaux Freres philosophy remains the same - to produce a world-class Pinot noir from tiny yields and ripe fruit that represents the essence of the vineyard. The winemaking philosophy is one of minimal intervention with clean fermentations utilizing indigenous yeast. Also, non-manipulative methods guarantee a wine that is the most natural and authentic vineyard expression possible.
The two single vineyard bottlings are The Beaux Freres Vineyard, 24 acres atop Ribbon Ridge in the Chehalem Valley, farmed organically, without irrigation, and the Upper Terrace Vineyard which is 10 acres, adjacent and on the next hill to the North, with a slightly higher elevation and first bottled in 2002. The third bottling is the Willamette Valley, comprised of fruit grown on select vineyard sites in the Yamhill County.
